Install the Tap on the dedicated circuit for the EV charger
Connect the sensor to the home’s main power feed — it monitors total usage in real time.

Dynamic Load Management (DLM) optimizes electricity use by shifting electric capacity between appliances in real time. It prevents overloads, reduces costs, and enables efficient energy use. Stepwise uses DLM to let homeowners install EV chargers and other high-power devices without expensive panel upgrades.
Today, Stepwise uses Dynamic Load Management on Level-2 chargers, including Wallbox, Tesla, and Grizz-le chargers. All other level 2 chargers and outlets can be load shed at this time. Additional chargers will be available for DLM in the near future.

Unlike traditional load management that simply turns devices on or off, Stepwise uses dynamic load management to intelligently adjust power in real-time. This ensures smooth EV charging and home electrification without disruptions or costly panel upgrades. Plus, our hardware is proudly manufactured in America, delivering reliable, high-quality technology
