Step 1: Power on Tap

The Tap emits its own WiFi signal for 10-minutes after power up.
If you do not see the network: Turn the Tap OFF and back ON using the circuit breaker

Step 2: Connect to Tap WiFi

On your smart phone, tablet, or laptop, connect to:

  • Network (SSID): EV-Tap 

  • Password: stepwise

Step 3: Open Setup Page

Once connected to EV-Tap, open a browser and go to: 10.10.0.1
or scan the QR code on the side of the Tap

Step 4: Connect Tap to Home WiFi

On the setup page:

  1. Select 1. WiFi Setup

  2. Choose your home WiFi network

  3. Enter your WiFi password

    Important: Your network must use 2.4 GHz WiFi

Step 5. Select Charger

Return to the main page and select: 2. Select Charger

Choose the charger model that matches your installation.

Step 6. Confirm Connection

Go to: 3. Stepwise Tap Status

Check that:

  • WiFi shows your home network name

  • Dynamic Charging = ON (if enabled)

  • Charger Output shows real-time current (0A if not charging)

If you have a Tesla or Wallbox charger and are interested in dynamic charging, click the next step. Otherwise, you are done!
