Tap/EVSE on but charging won’t start

Confirm all scheduling features are turned off

Scheduling features on the charger apps should be turned off for OCPP charging to work

Confirm the car/charger aren’t giving error codes

Sometimes unplugging and plugging the car back in can start charging, but make sure the car/charger doesn’t display and error codes on their respective apps.

Confirm DIP switch settings to be correct

DIP switch guide should be on the back of the EV Tap cover as well as the installation manual

Use an amp clamp to make sure that overall load on the panel is not exceeding 80% capacity

If Tap is a V2 Unit, it should have a button that can potentially diagnose why the charger is not on. The button can have a series of flashes that indicate different scenarios, which can be viewed here
